Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.

This statement is made on behalf of Sharief Group Limited, Sharief Holding 2 Limited and Sharief Group 2 Limited, and their associated companies and subsidiaries, collectively referred to as Allied Pharmacies (“the Group”) pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines the steps taken during the financial years ending 2025/2026 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.

Our Business and Structure

The Group consists of three parent limited companies and a number of subsidiary entities, operating a network of community pharmacies and healthcare services across the United Kingdom.

Our Commitment

The Group has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any form.

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships, implementing effective systems and controls to safeguard against modern slavery, ensuring transparency in our supply chains and treating all employees fairly and in accordance with employment legislation.

Policies in Relation to Modern Slavery

To support this commitment, the Group has implemented a framework of policies and procedures designed to promote ethical conduct, responsible employment practices, and to safeguard against the risk of modern slavery or exploitation. These include our Recruitment and Employment Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, and Supplier Standards and Procurement Procedures.

We have established confidential reporting mechanisms to facilitate the reporting of concerns or suspicions related to modern slavery or human trafficking. Reports are treated with utmost seriousness and are investigated promptly and impartially. We ensure that whistleblowers are protected from any form of retaliation.

Supply Chains

We actively engage with our suppliers to foster responsible business practices and ethical conduct. Through open dialogue and collaboration, we seek to instil a culture of transparency and accountability throughout our supply chains. Our supplier contracts include clauses mandating compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to modern slavery and human trafficking.

Due Diligence Processes

The Group takes steps to reduce the risk of modern slavery within its operations and supply chains by working with established and reputable supplies, conducting thorough due diligence assessments of our suppliers and business partners where appropriate and reviewing supplier practices where concerns arise. The Group also ensures appropriate employment checks are undertaken for all staff.

Training and Awareness

The Group aims to ensure that employees are aware of the risks associated with modern slavery and understand how to identify and report potential concerns. Managers and senior staff are expected to remain vigilant to possible indicators of modern slavery, promptly escalate any concerns through the appropriate internal channels, and actively promote ethical and fair working practices across the organisation.

Ongoing Commitment

The Group recognises that preventing modern slavery requires continuous vigilance. We are committed to continually enhancing our efforts to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. This entails regular review and refinement of our policies, procedures and practices to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with best practices.
